I’ve read all of Neumeier’s books, sometimes several times, as was the case with “The Brand Gap.” They’re similar to Paul Arden’s books in the use of stark, predominantly b/w typography. This one’s incisive. Fresh. Nicely packaged. And perhaps most importantly, a quick read.
One thing I like for its utter simplicity — the kind that makes me think I’ve thought the same a hundred times before — is his suggested “Rich Uncle” test, whereby he asks you to imagine that you just inherited $50 million. Would you still go to your job the next day? If so, what might you change? Whatever that is, why not change it here and now? From where I’m sitting, that’s pretty much about fine-tuning or even full-on designing your “daily brand.” Hats off. Great stuff. ~ Colin Mangham
